Unique in the World!
CEDAR FOREST AND FORGOTTEN GOLD
Walk and Driving Tour

This trip takes you to the only Inland Temperate Rainforest in the World. The Ancient Cedar Forests of the Cariboo Mountains are a keystone habitat for 5 of the 6 carnivores and ungulates associated with low-human impact, including Grizzly Bear, Wolf, Marten, Wolverine, and Caribou.

Take advantage of this rare opportunity to visit an eco-system that's only even been identified in the last 25 years! On this driving and walking tour we'll stop at scenic vistas, abandoned gold mines, and lush interior rainforests.

5-6 hours
40 km each way, with stops.
Price: $65/person. Minimum 3 people

Gold Rush Ghosts
WILDS TO RICHES
Walk and Driving Tour

Barkerville was just one of dozens of towns that sprung up on almost every Creek in the Cariboo.  By car we'll visit the notorious Grousetown, just a few km over the hill from Barkerville.

We'll stop along the way to inspect mining activity both past and present, before heading to the famous HardUp mine claim. Site of the 'Grouse Creek War', (the mining battle that didn't quite happen), we'll explore the adjacent moss-covered townsite, and try our luck panning out what the miners might have left behind.

Length: 4-5 hours
Difficulty: Easy Driving Tour
Price: $49. Minimum 3 people
